Part 59: Turn 62 - 2nd September 1944

The Germans fight their way out of the partial encirclement.



How long can we carry on losing 400 tanks a turn? Ah well, we made over 40,000 Shermans, so I think a while.












Not many places left to hit here.



But where I can hit, they just buckle.






One set of Germans refuses to surrender, their security unit is chased around a bit then gives up.



Move the South Africans, make a hole....



Encircle more troops. There is no chance this holds, but it will bugger their supplies for a week.



Time to push into Germany.



The river and the hills really slow my advance down.



I need to push north to better terrain.



Things are slowing down.



Surrender dammit!



Into Germany!



Advances remain limited while I have to tie down that many enemy troops.
